Astro utilizes Intelligent Motion to smoothly navigate through your home. It can follow you from room to room, playing your favorite music, podcasts, or shows. Additionally, Astro can deliver calls, reminders, alarms, and timers set with Alexa.
With the Astro app, you can have a live view of your home and check specific rooms, people, or things. During the setup process, Astro learns a map of your home, which you can view in the app at any time. By simply tapping on a desired location, Astro will start a live view and you can raise or lower the periscope for a better look. In case you spot something suspicious, you can even remotely sound a siren.
Key features of the Amazon Astro app include the ability to see a live video feed of your home from anywhere, send Astro to specific rooms or viewpoints, receive activity alerts for unrecognized persons or certain sounds detected by Alexa Guard (such as glass breaking or smoke alarms), and turn on the siren for an alarm. You can also edit the map of your home, define out-of-bound zones, review pictures and videos captured in live view, and turn on the Do Not Disturb mode to receive notifications only for timers, alarms, and reminders.
